2014 ECC of the Year Awards

On February 13 over 50 Employee Campaign Coordinators gathered for our annual ECC Thank You breakfast. This event was held at Cityview at Illinois Terminal and recognizes the hard work that ECC's do to make their workplace giving campaigns successful! We'd like to say congratulations to our Employee Campaign Coordinator Award Winners for the 2014 Campaign. These ECC's went above and beyond the call of duty and their work has generated hundreds of new gifts to United Way - which means thousands more lives can be changed!

90 Years of Caring

 United Way of Champaign County kicked off their 90th year with positive news: the annual campaign has topped the goal of $3.4 million dollars. As of February 20, 2014 over $3.417 million had been raised to support Education, Health & Well-Being, Financial Stability and Community Basics programs. This is the seventh year in a row United Way has exceeded the campaign goal.

Pack the Park - 2013 Campaign Kickoff!

Join United Way from 9am-7pm August 29 at Hessel Park pavilion as we kick off the 2013 fundraising campaign and "Pack the Park" with items needed by local nonprofit organizations. We'll be collecting items all day, and family fun starts at 4pm with entertainment, free hotdogs for the first 300, and more. Let's celebrate the work we're all doing to improve this place we call HOME!

Mike Ross & Emmie Fisher Selected to Lead 2013 Campaign

United Way of Champaign County announced today that Emmie Fisher and Mike Ross will be the co-chairs of their 2013 Fundraising Campaign. United Way President & CEO Sue Grey said, “Emmie and Mike will be wonderful leaders of our 2013 Campaign efforts. Between Mike’s creativity and Emmie’s long history with United Way, we have great synergy happening”. The theme of this year’s campaign is “This Place We Call Home”.
Mike Ross is the Director of the Krannert Center for the Performing Arts.

LyondellBasell Tuscola Plant’s United Way Campaign Helping Communities

 $31,000 Will Help Fund Numerous Programs in East-Central Illinois

LyondellBasell employees at the Tuscola Plant raised $31,000 for the United Way organizations of Champaign County, Coles County and Decatur and Mid-Illinois for the 2012-13 campaign, including more than $15,000 in employee contributions with the balance matched by the company. Employees recently presented United Way executives with a $16,000 matching grant from LyondellBasell.
