$31,000 Will Help Fund Numerous Programs in East-Central Illinois

LyondellBasell employees at the Tuscola Plant raised $31,000 for the United Way organizations of Champaign County, Coles County and Decatur and Mid-Illinois for the 2012-13 campaign, including more than $15,000 in employee contributions with the balance matched by the company. Employees recently presented United Way executives with a $16,000 matching grant from LyondellBasell.
“We are grateful for LyondellBasell’s generous support of United Way,” said United Way of Champaign County President and CEO Sue Grey. “Their partnership with United Ways across our region helps address the critical needs of residents and improves the education, health and financial stability of our communities.”

“The United Way provides valuable resources to east-central Illinois communities,” said Tuscola Plant Site Manager Jim Hillier. “LyondellBasell is proud to help support an organization that does so many good things throughout the area.”
Nationally, LyondellBasell employees and the company contributed more than $1.9 million to United Way agencies in the 2012-13 campaign.
