On Tuesday, September 27 we hosted our annual United Way Leadership Breakfast at the University of Illinois. It was a great morning and made especially fun as the United Way staff in attendance were U of I alumnae!
United Way is so grateful for our relationship with the University of Illinois. The Campus Charitable Fund Drive raises over $1.3 million for local and international charities, and United Way recieves the largest portion of those gifts. U of I students work, volunteer and intern with our local nonprofits. United Way hosted two School of Social Work graduate students last year, who created our 2015 Community Report. Needless to say, the University is an important force in our community and we were grateful to host many deans, department heads and the Chancellor at our annual breakfast.
Thank you University of Illinois!
