In the summer of 2018, United Way received a call from Subaru of Champaign County. They said that they believe in being a positive force in the community where they live and work, and they wanted to join United Way's fight to improve the Education, Health and Financial Stability of people in Champaign County.
United Way was named a Share the Love® Hometown Partner of Subaru of Champaign County!
Over the last 11 years, through the Share the Love® Event, Subaru of America and its retailers have donated more than $140 million to national charities and over 1,170 hometown charities. That's some major community impact!
On May 23, 2019 Subaru of Champaign County and Subaru of America presented United Way with a check for $5,750!
This generous donation will improve the health, education and financial stability of 212 people in Champaign County.
